Be flood ready

Sign up for flood warnings
If you are at risk from flooding you can receive free flood alerts direct to your mobile, landline or email through Flood Warnings Direct from the Environment Agency.

You can also register by calling Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
Buy Flood insurance
Flood insurance forms part of your contents insurance and covers damage to your home caused by an unexpected event. The cost of recovery after a flood can cost thousands of pounds and you can cover yourself for less than £1 a week.
For general enquiries about the household contents insurance through the scheme arranged with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc, available only to Together Housing Group customers, call 03456 718 172.
What to do in a flood
The main thing to remember is to keep safe. Make sure anyone who is elderly, alone or vulnerable is supported. Turn off gas, electricity and water supplies, move valuables, furniture and important documents upstairs or to a high place and be ready should you need to evacuate.
