A big congratulations to a Pendleton Together apprentice for bagging an award!

A big congratulations to a Pendleton Together apprentice for bagging an award!

Aiden Peppard went from being unsure of his next steps, to being Pendleton Together’s Apprentice of the Year!

The award celebrates an individual whose work and commitment to personal development within their own career and the wider organisation – and Aiden has surely done that.

At 21 years old Aiden had left behind a college course and was struggling to find employment as he tried to figure out what his next steps should be. With a loss of what to do next he never expected a leaflet from Pendleton Together would be the answer.

Regardless Aiden took hold of the opportunity and secured a position as an apprentice for the organisation. From then he has shown an amazing drive and initiative to not only improve himself, but the local area also.

Deborah MacDonald, Estate Services Manager for Pendleton Together said: “Aiden’s one of the most committed individuals I’ve met. He comes into work early, responds to calls whatever time they happen and doesn’t let being under the weather put him off. He never gives up.”

Throughout his short time with the organisation he has shown a dedication and love for the area that goes beyond the day job. So far he has suggested new processes to deal with issues like fly tipping and, even when he has clocked off, he recognises problems that he will address bright and early the next day.

Aiden said: “Since working for Pendleton Together, I’ve matured. I’ve met new people and found something I really enjoy. It’s been challenging but the team helped me through; it’s a great company to work for.”
