You may remember in October 2015, almost 157,000 TalkTalk customers had their personal details hacked in a cyber-attack on the telecoms company. TalkTalk said the total number of customers affected by the attack was 156,959, including 15,656 whose bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen.

As the Together Housing Group offers more of its services through our digital channels like our website and mobile apps, we’re working tirelessly to ensure the information you give us is held securely and processed in accordance with your wishes.

When you sign-up for to our website, you are required to give us details such as a correct phone number and email address so we can contact you should we need to.

These can be updated on our website at anytime to ensure we have the correct details for repairs etc.

When you call our customer service centre, we will ask security questions before discussing your account to protect your data against imposters. Also having your up to date information allows us to provide new services such as SMS text reminders for repairs appointments.

We also allow carefully selected research partners to contact tenants from time-to-time to carry out surveys to see if you are getting the service from us that you should. We use this invaluable feedback to adapt and change our services to make sure we are meeting your needs.

This is legal and considered as best practice across the globe.

But we are always talking and listening to customers and as a result of this we have strengthened our Privacy Policy for users and visitors to our website, to make it easier to understand. The new policy can be viewed online here.
