New Chair for the Together Housing Group

13Together Housing is delighted to announce that Dave Procter has been appointed the new Chair of the Group. Dave worked in social housing as a practitioner and recently ended his term as Chair of the Bradford based landlord, Incommunities. Dave’s experience also includes consultancy with a wide range of housing and third sector organisations within governance, executive mentoring and organisational change.

Dave commented “I am excited to be taking up the role of Chair at Together which is one of the largest social landlords in the country with over 37,000 homes. I’m keen to ensure Together continues to provide excellent services to its existing customers, to build new homes for those who need them, and to continue my predecessor’s great work on strengthening the organisation and increasing its capacity to deliver”. After a short hand over period with existing Chair David Green, Dave will become Together’s Chair in January.

In addition to Dave Procter two new members have been appointed to the Group Board with development and finance management skills. The first appointee is Gwynne Furlong - a Chartered Surveyor with a wealth of knowledge and experience in property and land development. Gwynne has dealt with many medium and large scale development projects including major regeneration and brown field schemes.

The second addition to the Board is Martin Gore. Martin recently retired as Director of Corporate Services at Humberside Probation and is an experienced Finance Director across the public and private sectors. In addition to financial expertise Martin brings considerable experience in human resources, information technology and estate management.

Group Chief Executive Steve Close said “I’m delighted that Dave, Gwynne and Martin are joining the Group Board of Together Housing Group after a comprehensive recruitment process. We look forward to working with them and tapping into their considerable knowledge and expertise over the coming months and years”.
