Pendleton Together Highly Commended at Awards

Pendleton Together Staff are celebrating today after winning “Highly Commended” in a prestigious regional award category.

The regeneration partnership includes Together Housing Group, Keepmoat and Salford City Council who work with MHA Architects and Lathams Architects to bring the project to life. The partnership saw off competition from five other regeneration schemes from across the North West as part of the 2017 RICS Awards.

Steve Close, Chief Executive of Together Housing Group, said everyone was delighted by the outcome: “The team at Pendleton Together have worked really hard to successfully make the regeneration not just about new and refurbished homes, but also about building a safe, vibrant community.  Awards like this really show that the work has paid off for the team and the residents.”

The award showcased how the regeneration had  built on Salford’s industrial past while encompassing the state-of-the –art structures of media city, looking not only at the homes that had been built and refurbished, but also at the landscaping, skills development and community initiatives that had been in place.  Judges from RICS had visited the area last March and commented on the striking difference the regeneration had made.
