Putting customers first – Pendleton Together RLO scoops top award
Pendleton Together’s Jackie Donnelly has been honoured for her work with customers having their homes refurbished.
Salford-born Jackie scooped the Tenant / Resident Liaison of the Year Award at the coveted Northern Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) awards – which recognises those who have gone the extra mile to make a difference in their communities.
Jackie, who works as a Senior Resident Liaison Officer for Keepmoat, has helped transform the way the company works with vulnerable residents, making sure they have the support they need while their homes are being revamped.
Working with her six Resident Liaison Officers, Jackie looks after customers whose homes are set to be refurbished – work that has now been recognised by the housing industry.
With a commitment to making sure that residents have the support they need, Jackie goes above and beyond in her role. This dedication is coupled with a hands-on attitude to her role which sees her going the extra mile by shopping for residents, fitting light bulbs, attending residents’ meetings, and much more.
Jackie said: “I nearly had a heart attack when I won, there were so many amazing people up for awards – I didn’t think I had a chance.
“The moment they called my name I looked to Stephen, Patricia and Joyce who’d come with me, that was one of the best moments – I could tell they were really proud of me.
“Without my team I wouldn’t have been able to carry out the amazing work going on in Pendleton, so would like to dedicate the award to them too.”
Jackie will now be put forward for national TPAS Awards in July, which will see her compete against finalists from the Southern and Central TPAS Awards.
Paul Longshaw, Salford City Council's Programmes Director for Pendleton Together, said: "The work Jackie and her team are carrying out every day on site is crucial to ensure that this part of the regeneration scheme runs smoothly but more importantly that people are really pleased with the improvements and the way that their homes have been transformed. Good luck to Jackie for the Nationals.”
