International Women’s Day
Pendleton Together resident Cath Anderson is inviting other local residents to join her at Brotherton House on Friday 8th March, between 12pm and 4pm, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Catherine says: “There will be a small exhibition displaying over 100 women from around the globe and down through the centuries who have forged a pathway for women.
“We will be celebrating these women by looking at inspirational quotes, music and memory boxes, as well as creating a wishing tree to be displayed in reception. Come along and join the fun!”
Want to improve your wellbeing?
Salford CVS will be running a free one day course at Lombardy Court on Thursday 14th March at 10:30am to help you identify five ways to wellbeing and healthy eating, with a free buffet included. For further information or to book a place please contact Sarah Davies on 07793478815.
Pendleton Together Community Events Meeting
Do you want to meet your neighbours and help us to make sure Pendleton Together is a friendly and inclusive community? The Pendleton Together Community Events Meeting is a great opportunity for residents who would like support organising their own activities, or would like to get be involved in Pendleton Together community events.
Come along and help other residents to plan new and exciting events for all of our residents to be a part of. The next Community Events Meeting will take place on Wednesday 13th March at Beech Court, from 1:30pm.
Helping you find employment
If you need help with your CV or job searches, drop into Brotherton House between 1:30pmand 4pm on a Thursday to be a part of our Job Club. Job Club takes place every Thursday and is open to all of our residents, come along and we can help you on your road to employment.
Thorn Court Open Day
Come along to Thorn Court Community Room on Thursday 28th March, 1:30pm – 3:30pm and find out about your local community events and share your ideas for your community room. This is an opportunity for all Pendleton Together residents to share your views, meet your Neighbourhood Officer and neighbours, and find out more about volunteering opportunities.
Whitebeam Court Open Day
Drop in to Whitebeam Court from Friday 15th March, 10:30am – 2pm for an informal event where you can share your views and ideas, as well as finding out how you could use the Community Room for your interests and hobbies without holding official meetings.
Free gardening workshops
Holly and Andy from the Royal Horticultural Society will be running some free gardening workshops at:
- Holm Court, Tuesday 9th April 10am-11:30am
- Whitebeam Court, Tuesday 9th April 1pm-2:30pm
- Spruce Court, Thursday 11th April 5:30pm-7pm
Come and learn how easy it is to grow your own food and plant some flowers in time for the summer. Everyone is welcome – no need to book, just turn up.
