Pendleton Together gets digital
Pendleton Together tenants got technical last week as part of ‘Get Online Week’. We hosted tea and tech tea parties for those interested in learning more about how mobile phones and tablets can help in everyday life.
Joanne Glynn, Digital Inclusion Project Officer said:
“It has been a fantastic week and it seems that everyone enjoyed it as there was something for everyone. It ended with a great result as a lot of people actually said they would like to attend more tech sessions in the future and some even put themselves forward to become ‘Digital Friends.”
There was an opportunity for visitors to learn how to get the best out of technology and to access the various Together Housing sites to manage their homes online.
Twin Valley Homes tenant Peter said “I got a lot out of the tea and tech party, even more than I hoped for” and Housing Pendle tenant Christine said “I am glad I came to this event, I’ve really learnt something.”
Overall the whole week was a great success and our tenants are learning the benefits of getting online.
