Pendleton Together staff and volunteers have joined linguists from across Salford in a video aimed to show the diversity of Covid-19 information.
The video, which was made for the Spirit of Salford network, features staff and volunteers from across the city explaining that support and information is available in any languages. Languages on the video include French, Urdu and Syrian Arabic.
Tahir Idris, Equalities and Diversity Manager for Together Housing Group, said that the committment was to ensure everyone could access the support available: “Unfortunately, as we have seen around the World, Covid-19 does not take account of borders or language patterns; everyone in Salford can be affected, so the information needs to be available to everyone too. Getting that message out to our diverse residents is essential and a key contribution we’re making the the Spirit of Salford effort to work together to combat this awful virus.”
