If you are struggling to buy enough food to avoid hunger there may be a local food bank that can give you a food parcel to tide you over until your circumstances improve.

Trussell Trust has a network of foodbanks around the UK.  They provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.  Click here to see if there is a Trussell Trust foodbank in your area.

If you do not live near a Trussell Trust foodbank there are many independent foodbanks operating across the country. To find your nearest one contact your local citizen’s advice bureau or council for details.

Supporting your foodbank

Did you know foodbanks are staffed mostly by volunteers and the produce they give out is donated? They need support and help to keep them running and stocked - any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

1. Donate food Just a can or packet of pasta can make a difference.

2. Donate time If you can do a little more, offer to volunteer. Find out more on their website or give them a call.

3. Donate money If you prefer to give some money contact your local foodbank to find out how to donate or you can donate online if your local foodbank is run by the Trussell Trust.
