"The benefits system is complicated and can be quite overwhelming at times. Not knowing what to claim is usually the first step, then it’s a case of advising the tenant on how to claim. We can help with all of that.

If you work but find yourself made redundant or out of work due to sickness then speak to us. We can tell you what is available for you to claim and how to do it. In some cases we could also assist you with completing any forms you have to fill in.  

If you’re moving onto Universal Credit, always keep your journal updated and always attend all appointments. If you have any questions or concerns about Universal Credit then get in touch with us. If you’re getting into arrears with your rent, get in touch with us immediately to let us know what is happening. If we know about it we can try to help.

There isn’t only our Welfare Benefits Team, we have other teams too which can also offer assistance, for example help with budgeting and dealing with debt. The sooner we know about your problem, the quicker we can try to help.
