We are using our wealth of experience to work together to provide opportunities for people living in our communities by providing apprenticeships, accredited training, work placements and volunteering opportunities. Giving real people – real experiences and real opportunities within the Pendleton area.
Here are some details about some of the projects we are working on:
The GROW project is an eight week course targeted at 16 to 24 year olds who live in Pendleton. The confidence building programme will give the young people who attend work experience and equip them with life skills including cooking, job hunting and team building.
By attending the project you will work towards the following aims:
- G – Grow as a person, grow as a family, grow as a community.
- R – Results in school, in lifestyle, in environment.
- O – Own your success, your responsibilities, your future.
- W – Work for fun, for us, for life.
We are currently looking for 16-24 year olds to sign up for the next GROW course – giving you the first steps into employment.
There are two sessions a week, on a Monday and a Wednesday, for eight weeks, starting on Monday 19th January and finishing on Wednesday 11th March.
Held in the centre of Pendleton at the Sutton Community Centre, behind the big Tesco in Pendleton, we are easy to reach on foot if you live in Pendleton area.
