Fire Marshalls

Keeping everyone safe in their homes is fundamental to Pendleton Together.

Following the tragedy at Grenfell Tower we have committed to undertaking a programme of fire safety works. Before some of these works are completed, a mitigation is needed to ensure safety. All of our high rise blocks are therefore patrolled 24/7 by a team of fire marshalls.

Fire marshalls wear identifying clothing and carry equipment to raise the alarm in the case of a fire. Two fire marshals patrol each block at any one time. A fire marshall’s job is to watch out for any danger, mitigate it if possible (for example, they may remove items from communal hallways) and, if they spot a fire, raise the alarm. They are not responsible for helping you evacuate. Please see our section of keeping safe in your home for details on planning your evacuation.

If you  want to find out more about our fire marshalls or have any concerns, please email pendleton@togetherhousing.co.uk or call 0300 555 5567.
