The Grounds maintenance team is responsible for keeping outdoor open spaces and communal areas looking neat and tidy.
The three-strong team covers all of the land owned by Pendleton Together. The winter schedule of work involves pruning shrubs, hedges and bushes right back and some planting, while the summer schedule is mainly taken up with grass cutting.
A litter pick is carried out every week and the team are responsible for removing any flytipping. Any incidents of flytipping are reported to Salford City Council and enforcement action will be taken if there is evidence to support it.
In the winter the grounds maintenance team works with the community caretakers to grit pathways and access routes to tower blocks in icy conditions.
The Pendleton Together road sweeper keeps the streets, car parks and hard standings of Pendleton spick and span.
